ores are mostly found higher up to make strip mines les worth and ballance exploration
iron is in common spawning biomes like forrest and plains coal is where ever it wanted to be diamonds are deep idk redstone is in biome caves and stony peaks gold is in hot biomes zinc from create is supported and found in hot biomes too copper is found in cold biomes emeralds are found in stony peaks lapis is found on stony shores
