ClaimModCompanion — Dynamic Client-Side Claim Overlays & GUI

ClaimModCompanion is a purely client-side Fabric mod that functions as the optional companion to the ClaimMod protection system. While ClaimMod handles all server-side validations and vanilla particle configurations, this mod hooks into a lightweight network packet channel to build a smooth, instantaneous client-side rendering matrix.

By tracking server boundary metadata locally, ClaimModCompanion removes server overhead and visualizes claim indicators as smooth GPU lines directly in the world geometry, alongside introducing an ergonomic, out-of-game style land settings GUI.

• Zero-Packet Render Loops: The mod reads claim bounds data pushed securely by the server and draws fluid, anti-aliased visual borders directly onto your screen via native GPU lines.
• The "Two-Bounds" Smart Buffer: Implements a dedicated live cache split design. Even when you step outside a claim and the server stops active synchronization, your visual outline persists flawlessly in the environment while you hold your claim tool, preventing flickering issues.
• Role-Based Border Coloring: Visual boundaries blend dynamically to match your specific trust status inside that property zone:
  • Owner: Brilliant Gold accents.
  • Trusted Access: Sharp Cyan highlights.

Tired of using long command lines like /claim flag <name> <value> to configure your claims? ClaimModCompanion introduces a beautiful, fully integrated custom configuration menu:

• One-Click Hotkey (Default: C): Pressing the key inside any claim you own or manage launches a sleek text-less setup dashboard layered seamlessly over your gameplay.
• Scrollable Settings Column: Cleanly parses active claim flags into custom labeled toggle switches. Left-clicking a button instantly switches the flag state directly on the host server without requiring complex command inputs.
• Smart Permission Filtering: The dashboard actively scans your current server trust level. If you only possess partial flag privileges or hold no management credentials inside a claim, the GUI automatically restricts access and prompts you visually.

📡 Intelligent Tool-Held Synchronizer

ClaimModCompanion bridges client inventory changes directly to the host protection engine through silent transition tracking:

• Proactive State Querying: The moment you scroll onto or equip a designated server claim tool (such as a Golden Shovel, Copper Shovel, or standard Stick) in either your main or off-hand slot, a state payload updates the server.
• Pre-Entry Awareness: If you are holding a tool outside any properties, the mod automatically requests data from the nearest property within rendering distance. The server pushes the target metrics down, letting your client draw the boundary before you ever step foot inside the claim line.
• Minimal Bandwidth Impact: Packets are only fired on inventory state transitions (equipping or unequipping items). There is no repeating tick-based network overhead, leaving your game latency completely unimpacted.

🔌 Setup & System Integration

• 100% Client-Side: This mod does not need to be installed on servers. You can keep it active in your client mod folder safely while jumping between vanilla servers, modded networks, or single-player worlds.
• Server Handshake Detection: Network channels only switch on if the host server has the core ClaimMod mod installed. When connected to vanilla worlds or unsupported networks, the companion goes completely dormant, ensuring zero performance drops.
• Full Rebind Support: The GUI binding integrates directly into the standard Minecraft Controls configuration directory under its own dedicated category.
