I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
CritTweaks gives you more control over Minecraft's critical-hit and sharpness particles. This lightweight client-side mod lets you customize how particles appear.
Everything is purely visual and only affects what you see.
Features
CritTweaks provides separate settings for Critical Hit particles and Sharpness (Enchanted Hit) particles, allowing complete customization of both effects.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Force Crit/Sharpness Particles | Displays particles even when Minecraft's particle setting is set to Minimal or when they are disabled by other mods. |
| Always Crit/Sharpness Particles | Shows particles on every hit you land, regardless of whether the hit was actually a critical hit or sharpness-triggered hit. |
| Hide Other Players' Crit/Sharpness Particles | Only displays particles from hits that you land yourself, hiding particles generated by other players. |
| Hide Crit/Sharpness Particles On Yourself | Prevents particles from appearing when you are hit by another player or mob. |
| Crit/Sharpness Particle Multiplier | Increases the number of particles spawned for stronger visual feedback. |
