Worn Trails
Worn Trails is a server-side Fabric mod that adds natural path formation to Minecraft.
When players repeatedly walk over certain ground blocks, those blocks slowly wear down over time. Instead of instantly turning grass into a path, the terrain changes in stages, making paths feel more natural and earned.
What It Does
Players walking over the same areas will gradually create trails:
- Grass Block -> Dirt
- Dirt -> Coarse Dirt
- Coarse Dirt -> Dirt Path
Some other natural blocks, such as podzol, mycelium, and rooted dirt, can also wear down into dirt.
Why Use It?
This mod is useful for survival servers, SMP worlds, towns, bases, and roleplay servers where you want the world to react to player activity.
Commonly used routes, village roads, base entrances, and paths between builds will slowly appear on their own as players travel through the world.
