Glow & Behold is a Fabric mod that adds empty lanterns, a new and fun block to decorate your world, with great functionality too!

Features

Empty lanterns can be easily craft using only 8 iron nuggets. Pretty much the same craft as other lanterns, except without the torch (because it is empty, duh).

The empty lantern can then be used as just another lantern, but if you want to spice thing up, just grab a potion and right click the lantern. You'll notice that the color of the lantern changes, and you now have the effect of the potion bottle in a 10 block radius! However, you'll also quickly notice that the level of the potion and it's duration don't matter, since the lantern will always give you a level 1 effect with ∞ duration. Also, instant potions won't work, since they do not give a constant effect.

Besides potions, you can also put milk inside the lantern (please, bear with me), which will remove any effects you have when you're inside the lantern radius.

Upon breaking, a lingering cloud will appear for about 5 seconds, with a 3 block radius, which will give you the lantern's level 2 effect. So, for example, if you have a Jump Boost effect on your lantern, when you break it, the lingering cloud will give you Jump Boost II. If you want to break your lantern without making a cloud, or just want to change the potion inside it, use a water bottle (mundane, thick and awkward potions work too) to clean the lantern.

Can I include this mod in a modpack?

Yes: You can, no need for approval. However, I would love to know what modpacks are using this mod, so don't hesitate to message me on discord! (yuri#4698). Please notify in discord me (airone_games) too.

I found a bug! What do I do?

Send me a message: Shoot me a message on discord (yuri#4698) explaining how to reproduce the bug and I'll fix it as soon as possible. It's better to write to me (in Discord: airone_games), since the author of the mod said that it is no longer supported.

Can you port this mod for Forge?

No: I only mod for the Fabric loader, so Forge versions are not going to happen. Sorry! sn0wfrog isn't going to and neither am I yet.
