This mod adds a more practical metal to Minecraft—steel. It can be obtained in ore form below layer -40 in the world, or refined from raw iron blocks and iron blocks. Once you acquire steel ingots, you can use them to craft highly durable steel pickaxes, steel swords with strong knockback, or steel battle axes that have decent damage and are useful both as tools and weapons.
At the same time, this mod adds a variant of deep slate: the deep slate core. This is an easy-to-obtain building block that is both explosion-resistant and pushable by pistons, which will greatly help in redstone.
