Nick And Kits!

by blueleaff · on Modrinth

A lightweight server utility mod for Minecraft, adding operator-controlled nickname and kit commands perfect for recording servers.

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

Mod loader

Minecraft version

⬇ Download for 1.21.10–1.21.11 · Fabric⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.11 · Paper
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Nick And Kits!

Ops can change what another player's name looks like in-game. Either set one yourself with /nick, or just use /randomnick and let the mod pick something random. Great for when you don't want real usernames showing up on camera. It doesn't mess with their actual account or anything, just changes the name people see in the world. Kits Ops can create item loadouts and give them out with a single command. No menus, no GUI, nothing like that — just type /kit give and the stuff shows up in their inventory. You can give it to one person or just do @a and blast everyone at once. Super useful for getting players geared up fast without killing the vibe of a session. all of this is OP only. Regular players can't touch any of it.

Commands

/nick — Change another player's name (OP only) /randomnick — Slap a random nickname on someone (OP only) /kit create — Make a kit (OP only) /kit give <player|@a> — Give a kit to someone or everyone (OP only)

Installation

Grab Fabric Loader if you don't have it Throw the jar in your /mods folder Boot up your server and you're done

No config, no setup, nothing to figure out. It just works.
