SafeWalk 3.0.0

SafeWalk is a client-side Minecraft mod designed for faster, smoother, and more controlled block placement while bridging.

It combines multiple building modes, customizable placement behavior, convenient keybinds, and a modern ImGui interface.

Features

Building Modes

Scaffold

Automatically places supporting blocks while you move.

Breezly

Assists with Breezly-style bridging and controls horizontal movement for more consistent placement.

Sneak

Automatically manages Sneak near block edges while respecting the physically held Sneak key.

Forward

Places blocks ahead of the player. The forward distance can be configured from 1 to 3 blocks.

NoDelay

Removes the client-side block-use delay for faster consecutive placements.

Modern Interface

SafeWalk includes a custom ImGui-based settings menu with:

Default controls:

All keybinds can be changed in Minecraft settings.

Commands

The following aliases are available:

/sw
/safewalk
/sb
/speedbuilding

Examples:

/sw mode
/sw autoclick
/sw nodelay
/sw scaffold vanilla 3
/sw scaffold bypass
/sw forward 2
/sw jump
/sw fall
/sw toggle

Configuration

Settings are stored in:

config/safewalk.json

Legacy safewalk.cfg settings are imported automatically when possible.

Compatibility

SafeWalk provides builds for selected versions from Minecraft 1.8.9 through 1.21.11.

Supported loaders include:

Fabric builds require Fabric API. Forge and NeoForge builds do not require additional runtime dependencies.

Not every Minecraft version is available on every loader because some loader lines were never officially released.

Installation

  1. Install the supported Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge version.
  2. Install Fabric API when using the Fabric edition.
  3. Place the matching SafeWalk JAR inside your mods folder.
  4. Start Minecraft and press Right Shift to open the menu.

SafeWalk 3.1 Rebuild in Progress

SafeWalk is currently being rebuilt as version 3.1. This release improves the packaging, compatibility, and reliability of the multi-version builds introduced in 3.0. SafeWalk 3.1 files will be published as the rebuild is completed.

Improvements over 3.0:

Significantly smaller JAR files: current optimized builds are approximately 10–11 MB instead of roughly 24 MB.

Universal operating-system support is preserved: a single JAR still supports Windows, Linux, Intel macOS, and Apple Silicon macOS.

Optimized bundled fonts: the full oversized font payload has been replaced with compact, locale-aware OFL font subsets covering all SafeWalk translations.

Cleaner ImGui packaging: unused extension and backend classes have been removed without affecting the interface.

Improved version compatibility: loader metadata, resource-pack formats, access transformers, and API adapters are being checked separately for every supported Minecraft generation.

Expanded loader support: the completed rebuild will provide Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge releases where supported.

Stricter validation: every JAR is checked for the correct Minecraft version and loader, required native libraries, duplicate files, unwanted signatures, bundled licenses, and accidental LWJGL inclusion.

Current 3.0 Availability:

Version 3.0 does not include NeoForge builds, and its Forge coverage is currently incomplete. The available Fabric builds remain usable, but 3.1 will replace the 3.0 files after the rebuilt artifacts pass validation.

Important

Always check the rules of the server before using the mod.
