This data pack removes the enchantment glint automatically applied to written books. Compatible with any texture pack :)

Does it hog resources?

Not at all! The way the data pack is designed renders it inactive until a book is signed, at which point it activates for a split second before going inactive again.

How does it work?

Glintless Books uses two custom advancements to detect when a player's inventory gains a written book, then immediately modifies the newly created book to remove the enchantment glint. The advancement triggered changes depending on the hand being used to write the book, but they work the exact same way.

Does it do anything else?

The only other feature it adds is an advancement called "Shakespeare" that players obtain upon writing their first book. This advancement is fitted into the vanilla Adventure progression.
