Online translation services used

Sak Translator Chat uses online translation services to translate chat messages.

By default, the mod uses MyMemory Translation API as the main translation provider.

Official MyMemory API documentation: https://mymemory.translated.net/doc/spec.php

The mod can also optionally use LibreTranslate if the user manually configures a LibreTranslate endpoint in the mod settings. This is intended for users who want to use their own/self-hosted translation server or another compatible public LibreTranslate instance.

When translation is enabled, chat messages may be sent to the selected translation provider so they can be translated. If you do not want messages to be sent to an online translation service, disable translation in the mod settings.

Translator Chat is a client-side Fabric mod that brings real-time translation to Minecraft chat.

Translate messages from other players, convert your own messages before sending, and configure everything through a clean in-game menu.

How it works

Translator Chat can translate messages you receive and can also convert your own messages before they are sent to the server.

For example, you can type in Portuguese and send the message in English automatically.

Notes

This mod uses online translation services, so an internet connection is required.

Some servers use custom chat plugins. If received chat messages are not being translated, enable Server Chat Mode in the config menu or use:

/translator serverchat on

## Privacy notice

This mod translates chat by sending the text of chat messages to the selected online translation provider.

Default provider:

- **MyMemory Translation API**
- Used for outgoing and incoming message translation
- API documentation: https://mymemory.translated.net/doc/spec.php

Optional provider:

- **LibreTranslate-compatible endpoint**
- Only used if the user manually configures a LibreTranslate API URL
- Can be self-hosted or public, depending on the user configuration

The mod does not collect accounts, passwords, tokens, IP addresses, or personal files. It only sends the message text required for translation.
