About Goecia

Goecia is a dark fantasy Minecraft mod focused on atmosphere, exploration, progression, and dangerous supernatural creatures while maintaining a vanilla-inspired style.

The mod introduces cursed environments, hostile demonic creatures, ancient structures, new equipment, decorative blocks, and progression systems designed for players looking for a more challenging and immersive survival experience.

Goecia focuses heavily on environmental storytelling and visual identity, creating a world inspired by dark fantasy, ancient civilizations, and supernatural themes while still feeling naturally integrated into Minecraft.

Features

DemonWood Forest

Goecia currently adds the Demonwood Forest, a custom biome focused on atmosphere and exploration. The biome features unique trees, vegetation, ruins, and dark fantasy environments designed to blend naturally into Minecraft’s world generation while creating a darker and more dangerous atmosphere.

Core of Life

The Core of Life is one of the main progression systems in Goecia. Players can permanently increase their maximum health by consuming rare Core of Life items found throughout the world. As vitality increases, the health bar evolves visually through different stages:

Players can eventually reach up to three full health bars, for a maximum of 60 health points.

Corruption System

Goecia introduces a corruption mechanic tied to demonic influence and cursed environments. As corruption increases, players become more vulnerable and enemies deal increasingly higher damage. Exploring dangerous areas without preparation can quickly become deadly. Players can reduce corruption by trading with special wandering characters hidden throughout the world.

Structures and Exploration

The world of Goecia contains multiple structures designed to reward exploration:

Many of these locations contain loot, hostile creatures, rare materials, and progression-related rewards.

Hostile Creatures

Goecia adds multiple hostile supernatural creatures inspired by dark fantasy themes, including:

Some creatures have dimensional variants depending on where they spawn, while others guard structures and dangerous regions.

Equipment and Progression

Players can craft multiple weapons, tools, and armor sets using the ores and materials added by the mod, including demonic resources obtained from hostile creatures. Goecia also adds special consumable apples crafted with materials from the mod, granting different vanilla potion effects useful during survival and combat.
