Barrel Extender
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Barrel Extender
Barrel Extender is a tiny Fabric utility mod that doubles vanilla barrel storage from 27 slots to 54 slots.
It keeps the normal vanilla barrel block and opens barrels as a 6-row container, similar to a double chest.
Features
- Expands vanilla barrels from 3 rows to 6 rows
- Keeps existing barrel items safe in the original 27 slots
- No new blocks, recipes, commands, or custom UI
- Server-side friendly for multiplayer
- Works with existing vanilla barrels
Multiplayer
Install this mod on the server. Players do not need it client-side to use expanded barrels.
For singleplayer, install it in your client mods folder.
Important
Before uninstalling the mod, empty any items stored in the extra barrel slots. Vanilla Minecraft only supports 27 barrel slots.
