Soulshifter
Find yourself limited by travel time? The most efficient way to explore Minecraft is here.
Just summon more of yourself. Switch between bodies at any time, even across dimensions.
Died on one of your bodies? No worries. Your soul shifts straight into another one. You leave behind a Soul Tomb at the death site holding everything you were carrying. Items, XP, all safe and owner-locked until you come back for them. No despawn timer. No frantic corpse runs.
How it works
- Craft a Soul Effigy with 4 bones, 2 eyes of ender, 1 totem of undying (shaped).
- Place it. Sneak-right-click. Your soul rips itself out and anchors a new body to the effigy with your full state: inventory, HP, hunger, breath, active effects. You walk away empty-handed, full HP, ready to bind another.
- Press B to open the Switch Wheel. Pick a body. Jump into it. Anywhere on the server. Anywhere across dimensions.
- Die? You auto-shift to your nearest body. A Soul Tomb keeps your gear safe at the death site.
Up to 4 total identities at once (1 active + 3 stored). 6s cooldown between switches. 5s combat lock after damage.
Requires XP to switch between bodies(for balance)
Bonus use cases
- Content creators, stop teleporting between scenes. Pre-bind a body at each filming location and shift between them instantly. Different builds, different biomes, different dimensions, all one keypress apart.
- Large-scale builders, leave a body at each megaproject. Switch back to check the redstone farm without losing your spot at the cathedral.
- Multiplayer co-op: bind a body at your shared base, another at your nether portal, another at the End. Travel time stops existing.
- Risky exploration: leave a "safe" body at home before venturing into deep caves. Die in the dark? Wake up in your bed, gear still alive at the tomb.
- Speedrunning challenges: give yourself extra lives that aren't actually cheating, just spreading your soul thin.
