CRD Hat Mod
Cosmetic hat system for Fabric servers using CustomModelData on items.
Features
/hat— Swap your held item with your head slot (or vice versa)/pickhat [page]— Opens a GUI to browse and apply hat models automatically populates with the CRD numbers #0–100. Slot 0 resets back to default./setmodel [id]— Set custom model data on the held item. Without an ID, opens a model picker GUI. With an ID (0–100), directly applies that model. Use 0 to reset./glint— Toggle enchantment glint on/off for the held item- Automatic 3D rendering — Helmets with CustomModelData automatically have their equipment asset stripped so the 3D item model renders instead of flat armor textures
- Previews in the GUI match your actual hat item type (diamond helmet, wool, leather, etc.)
How it works
Wear any helmet, run /pickhat, and click a hat to apply that CustomModelData value. Any resourcepack using CRD will map these values to the 3D models. Use /hat to quickly put any item on your head or take them off. Use /setmodel to apply models to any held item.
Installation
Drop the jar into your server's mods/ folder. Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
