It improves the visual experience with better lighting, softer bloom, cleaner water, improved atmosphere, and more controlled colors without pushing the shader too far.

The goal of EcoShift Lite is to enhance EchoShift while keeping its identity. Overworld scenes feel more polished, water looks deeper and cleaner, lava is better controlled, and the Nether and End are adjusted to feel more immersive while still staying familiar.
