This modpack optimises the game's perfermance and contains the best client-side convenient quality of life mods that just make playing vanilla minecraft a better experience.
You should be able to play on 100% vanilla servers with no issues, just make sure they allow world map mods. Some features will only work if the server is also running the mods (like simple voice chat).
