Transform your Minecraft world into feudal Japan with the Grimdark Samurai Pack!

Customize your look with Ninja & Samurai armor while wielding mighty katanas, odachi, kama, ono axes and the yumi bow! This Samurai themed resource pack includes 5 sets of Samurai armor, Ninja-themed armor for leather, and thematically appropriate weapons and tools. This combat resource pack contains primarily tool, weapon & armor textures which makes it easy to pair with a builder's pack of your choosing or to simply enhance your look while building with the vanilla block textures.

The Grimdark Samurai Pack now features custom armor trims for Minecraft 1.20 and up. Customize your samurai armor with menpo masks, trinkets and other accessories using the new armor trim system. Learn more in the video below.

This pack also includes damaged item textures, so you always know when your tools are about to break. Optifine is required to support some textures, specifically the Odachi sword variants. These extra large 2-handed katanas can be acquired by renaming your swords at an anvil. For example, renaming a Diamond Sword to include "Odachi" somewhere in the name will change the texture to the Odachi variant. Any naming conventions that do not include a variant identifier will use the standard texture.

Q: Can I use this pack as a server resource pack for my server?
A: If you are running a small private server, Yes! I only ask that you not re-upload my textures elsewhere or redistribute them. Permission for public servers is granted to all active Grimdark Patrons.

Q: How do I get the variant textures?
A: Take the appropriate item to an anvil and rename it using the keyword specified above.

Q: The variant textures aren't working - how do I fix it?
A: Variant textures require you to play using Optifine or CITResewn with custom items enabled up to version 1.20.4. Neither currently supports custom item textures in 1.20.6 or 1.21. If variants aren't working, double check your Optifine settings and disable other addons that might be causing conflicts.

Q: When is this pack / texture / feature coming to Bedrock?
A: IF it's possible, as soon as I can. Even though Bedrock and Java look similar at surface level they are VERY different. Just because something is created for one doesn't mean it is supported in the other. Similarly, some things are easy to do in Java that are extremely difficult to do in Bedrock. This means some features may never make it to Bedrock.
