Overview

"Flat face" (납작이) is a nickname given to various trains running in the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system. They are Seoul Metro 1000 and 4000 series, and 1st generation of Korail Classes 311000, 341000 and 351000.

Seoul Metro 1000 series and Korail Class 311000 runs on Seoul Subway Line 1. Former can only run between Yangju and Gwangmyeong (from Geumcheon-gu Office), and latter can run on the full length of the line.

Seoul Metro 4000 series and Korail Class 341000 runs on Seoul Subway Line 4. Former runs on the full length of the line, and latter can run between Danggogae Buramsan and Oido (i.e. Line 4 without Jinjeop Line).

Korail Class 351000 runs on the Suin-Bundang Line between Cheongnyangni / Wangsimni and Incheon.
