[HMI] Bow's animation

by KREKER_BUBA · on Modrinth

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Resource pack only.

⬇ Download for 1.21.9–1.21.11⬇ Download for 1.21.6–1.21.8⬇ Download for 1.21.5
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

✨ Features

⚙️ Resource Pack Options

With Respackopts installed, a configuration button appears next to the pack in the Resource Packs menu.

Available settings include:

First-version mode

When First-version mode is enabled, the pack uses the original animation logic and ignores all other configurable values.

When it is disabled, the settings from the Respackopts menu are used.

Without Respackopts, the pack automatically uses its built-in default values.

📥 Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
  2. Install the matching version of Hold My Items.
  3. Place this pack's .zip file into:
    .minecraft/resourcepacks

  4. Enable the pack in Options → Resource Packs.
  5. Start using a bow while holding Shift / Sneak.

For the configuration menu, also install:

Then open the Resource Packs screen and click the configuration button next to this pack.

🧩 Compatibility

Minecraft version Status
1.21.5 Experimental build (working)
1.21.6–1.21.8 Supported
1.21.9–1.21.11 Supported with the matching HMI branch

Always download the file made for your exact Minecraft version.

The pack changes only the Hold My Items bow animation. It does not replace the vanilla bow texture by itself.

❓ Troubleshooting

The animation does not appear

Check that:

The configuration button is missing

Install both Respackopts and LibJF, then reload the resource packs.

The sliders do nothing

Disable First-version mode. Other settings are intentionally ignored while that mode is enabled.
