PLEASE NOTE: 3D armour sprites are currently still a work in progress. If you would like to help work on this project, DM me on Discord if you think you can meet the resource pack's demand for quality. Mod support, language support, and CIT are considered secondary priorities.

This resource pack is intended to be a dedicated Vanilla+ overhaul for the sprites and 'flavor' of pretty much every tiered tool and armour in the game — each set having an overarching theme and dedicated palettes because someone actually values sprite consistency.

This is also intended to be part of a larger 'Bitter Cold' resource megapack, where things like potions and books will have custom CIT.

Please disregard any in-game version incompatibility warnings, the resource pack has been tested for versions 1.12.2 to 26.1.2 and should work for any version in between that. The compatibility system for Minecraft just sucks.

Additional features:

• Custom language files (Netherite Scythe, Golden Cutlass, etc.)
• Language support for: American, British, and Canadian English.
• Mob-exclusive CIT (Blackstone Sword, Weathered Iron Sword, etc.)

Roadmap:

• Mob CIT Nether variants (The idea is not to make it so that mobs have completely unique weapons but to show how they've worn with their owner.)
• Language support for 1.12.2.
• 3D armour textures.

INTRODUCING:

Wooden Tier - Handcrafted Townsfolk This set is inspired by traditional woodcraft and a more medieval approach, changing leather into a set of cultured robes for your hick folk and cultic needs.

Stone Tier - Primal Dungeon This set is inspired by classic depictions of stone age tools, binded to sticks with simple twine. For oh-so-uncraftable chainmail on the other hand, I decided to take many creative liberties with its depiction. I instead decided to base it directly off of Grim armour from Minecraft Dungeons, leaning into a more "I couldn't find this anywhere but a grueling dungeon" vibe.

Copper Tier - Arctic Seafarer This set is inspired by both maritime and arctic expeditionary equipment, leaning into both the orange contrast and themes of "sea copper" already in Minecraft. While not explicitly labelled such, the pickaxe and axe are inspired by ice picks and boarding axes respectively. The armour is directly based off of Blade & Sorcery's raider armour.

Iron Tier - Utilitarian Calvalry This set is the beginning of more refined equipment both visually and culturally, inspired by more modern designs of tools and equipment you'd expect from armoured calvalry. The armour is directly based off of Blade & Sorcery's plate armour.

Golden Tier - Nether Pirates This set is inspired directly from depictions of the Piglins, merging the gap between a 'hell' and 'pirate' aesthetic. The tools are meant to feel almost like edgy variants of iron while the armour is meant to feel royally engrossed. This is also the establishment of a trend for nether-related tools to use native materials instead of just overworld theming, similar to vanilla netherite.

Diamond Tier - Royal Paladin This set is inspired by classic depictions of royal knights; weapons decorated with excessive flare as opposed to function, though of course it has tons of the latter as well.

Netherite Tier - Gothic Knight This set is essentially an edgy variant of diamond, similar to gold and iron, which keeps in-mind the idea that what netherite tier is is essentially just diamond but reforged. The armour I've decided would bode well to have wither-inspired accents and a "sorcerer armour" vibe.

Bows & Arrows Bows and crossbows have been significantly overhauled to feel much less rigid and more like their real-world counterparts, bending more fluidly with the drawback and featuring a much curvier design philosophy. Arrows have also been completely redone, featuring consistent flint tips and a detail-oriented approach with larger sprites.
