A backport of the official Cobblemon move animations for 1.20.1, the pretty attack particles you see in all recent videos !
This resource/data pack aims to bring the latest combat visuals to older, overlooked versions.
I also reused, recolored, and redone a lot of moves not yet done, even in Cobblemon 1.7 !
New custom sounds, new moves, and more fun !
Since this is a backport to a version before the great NeoForge rewrite, there is some changes to take into account :
- Cobblemon 1.5 lacks multiple locators (model indicators), so some attacks had to be reworked to look fitting.
- The locators for particles "traveling to target" doesn't exist in 1.5, only "aim towards target" is here (ex: "Present" fires 6 meters towards target and is fixed, but "Ice Beam" is still aiming to target when firing).
- There is only 3 usable locators per models : feet, body, and special-attack (varying a lot per model, ex: Charizard's mouth).
Installation :
- Ensure you have the base Cobblemon mod installed for 1.20.1, Forge or Fabric (latest is 1.5.2).
- Download the latest release of this backport.
- Drop the pack in the "resourcepacks" and "datapack" folders, the pack need both to work (Datapack is found in the world creation menu).

The .jsons had to be heavily modified to work on 1.5, so I don't know what belongs to who but hey I just want people to enjoy move anims in 1.20.1 !
