Nether Floating Islands
Datapack that creates Nethers with floating island generation, like the old world preset. Featuring all biomes, structures, and floating lava lakes.
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
Nether Floating Islands
Nether Floating Islands is a data pack that seeks to build upon the vanilla floating islands world generation that existed before 1.18, but for the Nether. All biomes and structures exist, along with floating lava pools (all done with aquifers).
Overworld Floating Islands
This pack is meant to be a companion pack for Revamped Floating Islands, which affects the Overworld instead.
FAQ
- "Is this compatible with this Data Pack / Mod?"
- If it changes terrain, no. If it adds biomes, it will be partially compatible (biomes may look weird depending on how they are implemented).
