Easyflint

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Download Easyflint and make dropping gravel onto torches a thing of the past.
This data pack lets you craft 1 gravel into 1 flint.

I went looking for a pack like this and didn't find one that didn't mess with the 1:1 ratio, so I just made my own.

Easyflint is very lightweight in size. It's essentially just the recipe and the hidden advancement that makes it show up in the recipe book.

No need to unzip the file or anything; just drop it right into the datapacks folder for your world or server, and you're good to go! If you're using the mod rather than the datapack, place it in your mods folder instead.
You can also easily install/update Easyflint using a launcher like PrismLauncher or Modrinth App.

Have fun!
