Usage
This data/resource pack lets you combine your Elytra with any Chestplate in a smithing table. One Echo Shard is required as an additional cost. All properties of the chestplate will be kept.

Note
It is not possible to separate the Elytra and Chestplate afterwards! If the Elytra has enchantments or a custom name, these will be discarded.
Both the data and resource packs should be installed. The resource pack alone does nothing. The data pack alone is technically functional, but some textures may be missing.
Disclaimer
This data pack was created, because I found the Vanilla Tweaks version of this data pack rather clunky. The Vanilla Tweaks version was originally created for an older version of Minecraft, where many modern data/resource pack features were not yet available. This required some workarounds (like dropping the Chestplate and Elytra on an anvil to combine them, or not being able to see the chestplate). The updated version of this pack, however, still uses these workarounds. This pack is meant to be a reimplementation using these new data pack features. However, currently my pack has fewer features, than the vanilla tweaks version (see Note above).
