Better Bamboo Wood
Makes bamboo wood more consistent with other wood types while keeping the balance! (4 planks from 1 log; charcoal from smelting bamboo logs)
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
DESCRIPTION
This datapack simply makes the new bamboo wood from 1.20 behave like other wood types, while also balancing the number of sticks you can get from the same amount of materials.
The list of features are:
- Bamboo logs can be smelted into charcoal
- 1 bamboo log can be crafted into 4 planks (instead of 2)
- 2 bamboo planks can be crafted into 2 sticks
- 4 bamboo can be crafted into a single plank

INSTALLATION GUIDE
go to your saves folder located here on Windows:
C:\Users(your name)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves
put the zipped file in the data packs folder, and either restart your world or execute /reload
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- the new plank recipe buff is balanced by nerfing the stick recipe as you get 4 sticks from 1 bamboo log and 4 sticks from 9 bamboo as well
