Mega Stacks

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
Mega Stacks — screenshot 1

This is a data pack that makes every single item be stackable up to 99! You can go mining, exploring or more with a much more organised inventory since slots now hold 30% more items and blocks! This even works with items that can only be stacked to less than 64, like doors and swords. The pack was originally intended to increase the stack size to the 32-bit integer limit, 2147483647, but the vanilla formatting that this pack uses only allows up to 99, and having too high of a stack size could cause tons of memory leaks. Note that only items that have been picked up/been in entity format can stack higher than 64! Getting items straight from the creative inventory or /give will make them have their old limits until dropped and picked up again! Also note that if you don't have the strongest processor and have too many big items could cause lag! Regardless of your PC, I recommend allocating at least 4GB of RAM to Minecraft if possible, since even if you have a strong PC Minecraft is limited to the RAM you allocate. (I would only advise you to do that if you have 8GB+ memory) If you want to add some items that can't be stacked to 99 go to data/mega_stacks/tags/item/not_valid.json and edit the file. (Some help is available in that file, but if you are still struggling I can help you on the GitHub page.

Quick facts

Install steps are the general flow for this file type — see the MC Java Mods guides for the full walkthrough.
