Improved Spiders

This datapack/mod adds 4 new types of spiders that can spawn as well as a spider queen boss that spawns in new spider den structures and many new items.

You can get all the custom spider eggs in Creative mode by typing: /function improved_spiders:give_spawn_eggs

You can get all the custom items in Creative mode by typing: /function improved_spiders:give_items

You can locate a Spider Den in Creative mode by typing: /locate structure improved_spiders:spider_den

Upsidedown Spiders

Spiders and Cave Spiders that climb on walls and have a block above them will visually cling to the the roof

New Spider Types

4 new Spider Types have a chance to replace both normal Spiders and Cave Spiders, 2 of them having unique item drops

• Webber Spider: Throws spider Web at the player that spawns a cobweb where they hit
• Venomous Spider: Throws Spider Venom at the player that creates a poison cloud where they hit
• Egg Carrier Spider: Carry a Spider Egg on their back that spawns many baby spiders when they die
• Healer Spider: Heals all nearby spiders every few seconds
• Warrior Spider: Leaps towards the player with force from far away and has buffed stats

Spider Den

Spider Dens spawn in all Forest-like biomes, they have some cobwebs, spiders and between 3 to 8 inactive Healing spider spawners around them as well as a giant spider egg at the top. Spider Dens can be easily found by using a Spider Den Explorer map which drops from Warrior Spider or has a chance of spawning in an Abandoned Mineshaft chest

Spider Queen Boss

After Finding a Spider Den and approaching the giant Spider Egg at the top, a Spider Queen will spawn as well as its Healthbar and start attacking the player with different attacks:

• Throws an egg that spawns 4 spiders
• Leaps in the air and smashes the ground dealing damage to all players nearby

Additionally the healing spider spawners will activate spawning waves of them until destroyed After reaching half health it will spawn 2 Spider Warriors and increase in powder, doing more Egg throw as well as Smash attacks, even making any remaining spawners be quicker Spider Queens Cannot be damaged by projectiles shot from more than 32 blocks away Upon being defeated it will drop 2 new items

Items

Some of the new Spider Types drop new items with unique properties

• Spider Web: Drops from Webber Spiders and can be thrown, uppon hitting something it spawns a cobweb
• Spider Venom: Drops from Venomous Spiders and can be thrown, uppon hitting something it creates a poison cloud
• Healing Spider Gland: Drops from Healing Spiders and can used to restore a few hearts and cure poison and nausea
• Spider Egg: Drops from Queen Spiders and can be thrown, uppon hitting something it spawns 5 Spiders that will attack the nearest Hostile Mob to them when they spawn
• Arachnoid Crown: Drops from Queen Spiders and can be worn, when equipped any mob that attacks the player will be set on a cobweb
• Spider Den Explorer Map: Drops from Warrior Spiders and can help the player locate a Spider Den
