Contrition: lifesteal, SMP revive, & more

Contrition is a companion data pack to my first data pack, Attrition! This pack adds six optional new features to the game that you can toggle on and off whenever you please:

• Lifesteal allows players to regain maximum health by killing other players
• Lifeshare allows players to share their maximum health with other players
• Revival allows players to revive other players that have lost all of their health
• Alchemy offers a craftable alternative to enchanted golden apples
• Chivalry lets players create chainmail armor that gives maximum health bonuses when worn
• Immunity lets players lose maximum health only when dying to another player

Who is this for?

Contrition is designed for players who want even more ways to customize their survival experience without straying too far from vanilla Minecraft. Most of these features are best experienced in a multiplayer survival environment. Please note that in order for Contrition to work, you MUST ALSO have the Attrition data pack installed and running (https://modrinth.com/datapack/attrition).

Options menu

A custom options menu for Contrition is available via the /function mp.cntr:display_options command. You can use this menu to test out the data pack, customize your experience with it, or uninstall it. Example screenshots are available in the gallery.

Custom recipes

As part of its functionality, Contrition includes a small number of custom crafting recipes. A guide for them is available to everyone via the /trigger mp.cntr.guide command. Example screenshots are available in the gallery.
