Vanilla Emotes

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

Mod loader

Minecraft version

⬇ Download for 1.17–1.19.3 · Data pack⬇ Download for 1.17–1.19.3 · Fabric⬇ Download for 1.17–1.19.3 · Forge⬇ Download for 1.17–1.19.3 · Quilt
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Emotes Datapack

This datapack adds animated emotes you can use without any resource pack or dependencies!

Using emotes

Once you unlocked an emote, you can run /trigger emote to view the Emotes Menu. Here, you can view your unlocked emotes, as well as play them or give you the shortcut.

Click [PLAY] on an emote to play that emote.

If you click [GIVE], it will give you an item which lets you play that emote anywhere. You can hold the item and press F (move it to offhand) to play the emote.

Unlocking emotes

You unlock different emotes at different XP levels. Here is the list of all the emotes you can unlock:
