⛈️ Meloon's Realistic Thunder!
This extremely niche datapack upgrades weather in a storm by bringing cozy delayed thunder to Minecraft! (with no resource pack required!)
This is a relatively light-weight datapack: it strictly adds delay and pitch alteration to the thunder sound effect based on the distance of the lightning strike from the player.
*No actual sound physics are simulated and the values are purely my estimations based on what sounded right to me.
*From my little testing, resource packs that change the thunder sound work to differing degrees, just try it out and see what works best. I find the vanilla sound to work well.
This datapack should work just fine on multiplayer.
Inspired heavily by netcatgirl's ImmersiveThunder mod
