A simple datapack that adds a crafting recipe to your game which allows you to craft Light Blocks with the light power of 15 in Survival Mode.

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Data pack only.

I don't know my version or loader

Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.

No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

A simple datapack that adds a crafting recipe to your game which allows you to craft Light Blocks with the light power of 15 (possible in Survival). This datapack already includes a default crafting recipe but you could also change it by yourself by using online generators like TheDestruc7i0n's Crafting Recipe - Generator.

When you have created your json file you can put the content of that generated file into the file light.json, which you can find inside the craftable-light-blocks datapack folder under the path: \data\light-blocks\recipe\light.json

About the default crafting recipe: To craft a Light Block you only need one torch and 6 not stained glass panes and follow the scheme seen in the picture:

How to craft light blocks by default

The Source Code is only available for the newest version of this datapack for the newest version of Minecraft that is included in the version range of this datapack. (In this case the datapack version v.2.1 for Minecraft version 1.21.4)
