3K Mob Heads! (Decapitation)
3000+ Heads for all Minecraft mobs since 1.14! First to add all 3072 Tropical Fish Heads, with customizable head sounds!
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Existed since 1.14, Decapitation is a datapack that adds heads to all mobs in Minecraft!
First with 3072 Tropical Fish Heads, multiple head collection methods, and customizable head sounds!
📜 Features:
- Over 3200 different head variants!
- All 3072 Tropical Fish Heads are supported, with distinct texture details!
- Head Sources: There are many ways to get heads, and all heads show how you got them!
- This makes heads more accessible for builders, while also keeping the bragging rights for those who got heads the hard way.
- Customizable Head Sounds: Brush a mobhead to change how it sounds!
- You can also get the head with that sound by mining it with said Brush!
- Mining it normally removes the sound the head currently has. Helps them stack up easier.
- In-game Settings: Customize Decapitation to fit your Minecraft worlds!
- Change head mechanics, how head drops, and more!
- To get started: Simply type
/function tdp.config:decapitationin chat.
- Keeps mob head names intact when mined, even before 1.20.5!
- Works well with my other datapacks!
- Works in Multiplayer!
- Made and maintained with lots of care. Hope you enjoyed it!

🤔 It's not working, help!
- The tropical fish heads were introduced in Minecraft 1.21x, so you won't find them before then.
- If you can't access in-game settings or debug commands, open to LAN and enable Allow Commands!
- If you're in a Server, you'll need to
/opyourself first! - Before 1.20.5, this option was called Allow Cheats.

🎉 Special Thanks:
A special thanks to these awesome people for keeping the lights on:
If you like the effort that goes into making all this, help me keep the lights on so I get to do this more often!
📝 PS:
- Special thanks to Minecraft Heads for letting me use heads that genuinely look nicer than what I could do myself in the pack.
- I made all the Villager Heads and the Tropical Fish Heads myself though, they didn't exist in the database before this.
- The time to add all the heads to the system alone was over 11 hours, not including head texturing times.
- Each version was designed and optimized for their respective Minecraft release, so you'll always get the best performance and features possible for the releases you're playing on.
- I could make builds that supports multiple versions at once, but it also means adding extra stuff only to support game releases that it won't be run on. It just doesn't make sense to me.
- Due to Modrinth's limitations, this version is not the best of what I've got.
