SMP-Starter

A Datapack / Mod that simplifies the start of a Minecraft server through a small script that opens the world border, changes the game mode, and enables…

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

With this datapack/mod, administrators can define a spawn point for the server start and, using a simple command, set a world border, disable PvP, and switch all players to Adventure mode. When another command is executed, the world border resets to its original size with an animation, PvP is re-enabled, and all players are switched to Survival mode. Day time and weather are also switched accordingly.

Anyone with the tag 'admin' will not be switched to any other game mode.

Usage:

  1. Put the file in the mods or datapack folder.
  2. Start the World or Server.
  3. Find a place where the Worldspawn should be.
  4. Run /function smpstart:setup
  5. Whitelist all your friends.
  6. Run /function smpstart:startsmp

Once the server start is finished, the mod/datapack can be removed without any problems.
