BlockTone
Different block materials produce unique ambient sounds when rain falls on them, creating a dynamic soundscape based on your builds.

BlockTone detects what blocks rain lands on and plays material-appropriate impact sounds. Metal blocks like iron and copper produce sharp metallic pings, glass creates delicate tinkling sounds, wood blocks emit soft thuds, and stone variants make muted tapping noises.
How It Works
The datapack uses area effect cloud entities spawned periodically during rain to sample random exposed blocks and trigger corresponding playsound commands based on block tags. This creates an ambient soundscape that reflects your architectural choices without any player interaction required.
Performance
The system is lightweight, only activating during rain weather and spawning minimal marker entities that despawn quickly after checking their landing block. No commands are exposed to players and no permissions are required. The datapack operates entirely automatically.
