Copper Repeaters and Comparators DP+RP

by Arrotino · on Modrinth

Changes redstone repeaters and comparators to be made out of copper instead of stone. Datapack and resourcepack.

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

This pack includes both a datapack and a resourcepack, which can be used independently if you only want one or the other, but I recommend you use both. This pack was made to give copper a bit more use and to make repeaters and comparators look a bit cooler.

Compatible with VanillaTweaks' 3D Items (see below!)

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please post them on the project's Planet Minecraft page.

Datapack:

The recipes for redstone repeaters and comparators are changed to require copper ingots instead of stone. The vanilla recipes are overriden, you can't craft them with stone anymore.

Resourcepack:

Repeaters and comparators have a new copper look, drawn by me based on the vanilla textures. Repeaters change oxidation level depending on the delay you set.

Installation:

Put the datapack zip (the name has DP in it) in your world's datapacks folder, and the resourcepack zip (the name has RP in it) in your resourcepacks folder.

Compatibility:

This datapack is compatible with VanillaTweaks' "3D Items" texture pack. If you use it remember to put this resourcepack above 3D Items!

Credits:

Every texture was drawn by me using GIMP based on the vanilla textures, for the VanillaTweaks compatibility I replicated the structure of their repeater and comparator inventory model's json and tweaked it to refer to my model instead of the vanilla one (this obviously overrides their inventory model when using the two packs together). Thanks to the people on Stardust Labs' Discord server for giving me tips and feedback.
