Percy's Locator Kit allows you to customise your locator bar. You can change the colour of your waypoint, the icon, but also your transmit- and receive range.
Percy’s Locator Kit is compatible with Minecraft Realms. Whether you're playing in singleplayer, multiplayer, or on Realms, you'll have the same experience everywhere!
Locator Kit
The locator Kit is crafted by combining a bundle, a paper, and a compass in a crafting grid. This is a shapeless recipe.
The Locator Kit contains a Waypoint Note and a Range Setter to get you started.
Waypoint Note
The Waypoint Note can be obtained by crafting a Locator Kit, or simply by combining an iron ingot and a paper in a crafting table.
The Waypoint Note stores a style and colour to set your waypoint to.
To set a colour, hold any dye in your offhand and the Waypoint Note in your mainhand. Interacting with the Waypoint Note (right-click by default) will write the dye colour to the Waypoint Note and consume the dye. Alternatively, you can also rename an ink sac to a hex colour value and use that instead of the dye to set the colour to the hex value. Make sure you don’t prefix the hex value with a “#”. Including a “#” will not work.
To set a style, rename your Waypoint Note to the namespaced id of the style you want and interact with it. Minecraft has the styles minecraft:default and minecraft:bowtie built-in. You can create custom styles with a resourcepack.
Interacting with the Waypoint Note always applies the colour (if available) and the style (if available) written to it.
Range Setter
The Range Setter is obtained by crafting a Locator Kit and used to set both the transmit range and the receive range for your locator bar.
Rename the Range Setter to a number ranging from 0 to 60000000 and interact with it to set both your receive range and transmit range to that number in blocks.
