Village Tether

Village Tether is a simple Minecraft datapack that lets you place leads on villagers, making villager transportation much easier and less annoying.

Moving villagers normally can be slow, frustrating, and awkward, especially when using boats, minecarts, or trying to push them into place. With this datapack, you can simply use a lead on a villager and guide them where you need them to go.

Features

How to Use

  1. Install the datapack in your world’s datapacks folder.
  2. Run:
/reload
  1. Use a lead on a villager.
  2. Walk the villager to your desired location.
  3. Right-click a fence or wall to try attaching the villager there.

Fence Attachment Fallback

If the villager does not attach to the fence by right-clicking, look directly at the fence or wall and run:

/function leash_everything:attach_looked_at_fence

This will manually attach nearby leashed villagers to the fence or wall you are looking at.
