Proper Rules List for Servers
I don't know my version or loader
Description
So if you have a server that needs a proper rules and information list, you are right here. Players can easily open the rules list by typing /trigger rules on the chat.
How to setup (please read)
Step 1: Download the pack in the right version.
Step 2: Extract the pack in a folder. (The datapack is recommended because it is not easy to extract a mod.)
Step 3: Open the folder and go to /data/ruleslist/function if you are in version 1.21+ or /data/ruleslist/functions if you are in version 1.16-1.20.6 and open rules.mcfunction
Step 4: Create a raw JSON text (Not a /tellraw command, a raw JSON text) with a tool like Gamergeeks.net, copy and paste it in the .mcfunction file, directly next to the text in the file.
Step 5: Compress the data folder and pack.mcmeta file in the pack as a ZIP file and put it in your world's datapacks folder.
Some Info
- You can get help from my Discord Server.
- I recommend you the datapack instead of the mod because it's easier to configure, you will be able to install it on vanilla servers or plugin servers and the mod can have problems.
- If you for example installed 1.21.4 version of the pack and it says it is not compatible, don't trust that message. You installed the right one.
- Edition: Minecraft Java
- File type: .jar
- Minecraft versions listed: 1.16, 1.16.1, 1.16.2
- How to install: Install the matching mod loader (Forge, Fabric or NeoForge) for your Minecraft version. → Download the .jar. → Put it in the .minecraft/mods folder and launch that loader profile.
- Where to get it: Opens on Modrinth — not every file is mirrored on our own servers.
Install steps are the general flow for this file type — see the MC Java Mods guides for the full walkthrough.
