Improved Vanilla Recipes

Improved Vanilla Recipes adds multiple quality of life recipes for Smelting, Blasting, Crafting and Stonecutting such as being able to convert slabs back into blocks, smelting raw ore blocks, uncraft certain items, craftable Name Tags and Saddles, etc.

Features

This datapack is compatible with JEI and similar recipe-lookup mods.
Crafting patterns are also displayed in the in-game recipe book.

Crafting

All of the following items can now be crafted. If an item was already craftable, an alternative crafting recipe has been added.

• Brown Dye (With Dye mixing or with Brown Mushroom Block + Brown Mushroom)
• Brown Mushroom Block
• Chainmail Armor
• Cobweb
• Glow Lichen
• Green Dye (With Dye mixing or with Moss Block)
• Lead (With Strings and Iron Nugget)
• Moss Block
• Mossy Blocks (With Moss Carpets)
• Mycelium
• Name Tag (Respects version 26.1 recipe)
• Nether Brick
• Red Mushroom Block
• Saddle (Respects version 1.21.6 recipe)
• Warped Wart Block

Uncrafting

Uncrafting items can be done by simply putting the singular item in any crafting table.

The following items return partial materials, for example one door will only return 2 planks, but 3 doors will return the whole material used to craft those doors.

• Any type of books (Returns leather only)

The following items return full materials, for example wool will return 4 string, therefore returns the whole material.

Smelting & Blasting

Certain blocks can be now smelted to maintain material continuity, such as Stone Slabs being smelted into Smooth Stone Slabs.

The following items can only be smelted.

• Cobblestone Slab
• Cobblestone Stairs
• Quartz Slab
• Quartz Stairs
• Red Sandstone Slab
• Red Sandstone Stairs
• Sandstone Slab
• Sandstone Stairs
• Stone Slab

The following items can be smelted and blasted.

• Raw Copper Block
• Raw Gold Block
• Raw Iron Block

Stonecutting

The following recipes have been added to stonecutters, these will only work with stonecutter compatible blocks.

• Bamboo Block to x9 Bamboo
• Stone to Cobblestone & Other Variants
• Deepslate to Cobbled Deepslate & Other Variants
• Stairs to Slabs

Copper Oxidization

Any non-waxed copper block can now have their oxidization increased by one stage by combining the desired block with a Water Bucket.

Due to technical limitations, this process will consume the water inside the bucket and increase the oxidization stage to only one block.

Coral Reviving

Any Coral block, Coral and Coral Fans can now be revived by combining the desired coral with a Water Bucket.

Due to technical limitations, this process will consume the water inside the bucket and revive only one block.

Sherd Duping

Every single obtainable sherd can now be duplicated by combining a desired sherd with bricks.

This datapack was only tested for 1.21.1 and is likely only compatible with 1.21.1 and 1.21
