A datapack that adds sword blocking from versions prior to 1.9 back into the game
perfect if you're feeling nostalgic, want to signal peace or say hello!
How it works:
holding right click with the sword will allow the player to block 50% of incoming damage, without consuming durability or being disabled by shields
KNOWN ISSUES:
- holding a shield in the off-hand slot will still prioritise the sword, because of how Minecraft is coded
- only works on swords CRAFTED after the datapack was installed
- once uninstalled, swords that have the ability to block will still keep it
- when installing the datapack, it might say that the version is incompatible, even if you are on 1.21.11 (ignore it)
