Make gold useful again with Golden Reforged Items!

Description

Golden Reforged Items revisits one of Minecraft’s most misunderstood material. Rather than trying to force gold into the usual progression of combat and durability, this project takes a different path and gives gold its own identity through unique Reforged Abilities, golden items gain subtle yet meaningful effects that enhance everyday gameplay activities such as mining, building, and farming.

This datapack/mod is designed to integrate naturally into vanilla gameplay and rewarding creative playstyles without overshadowing existing materials like Diamond or Netherite. Gold becomes a situational choice — not better, not worse, just different.

I'm trying to make this datapack/mod as vanilla friendly as possible. This is just the beginning; further additions may come later in future updates.

• For Fabric version FabricAPI is needed.
• For the datapack version a resource pack is needed.
• Datapack and mod are only translated in english and french.

Feature

• Adding 4 new recipe for the pickaxe, axe, shovel and hoe.
• Adding new item(s) : Golden potato.

Golden Reforged Pickaxe :

When a block is mined: automatically digs a small tunnel in front of the player (It only breaks stone and blocks that resemble it).

Golden Reforged Axe :

Right-clicking on a tree completely breaks its trunk.

Golden Reforged Shovel :

When a block is mined: automatically digs a small tunnel in front of the player (It only breaks sand/dirt and blocks that resemble it).

Golden Reforged Hoe :

When used on farmland: tills a small area instead of a single block and sets the soil moisture to its maximum.

Golden potato :

High food regeneration and give fire resistance for 7 seconds.
