EasyMine - Balanced Block Drop Overhaul

A balanced data pack that modifies block drops to make resource gathering more interesting while keeping gameplay fair. Break common blocks for ores, and rare flowers for powerful tools!

🎯 Features

Grass Block Drops (Random)

Breaking grass blocks gives you one random item from:

• Dirt (most common)
• Cobblestone (common)
• Coal (common)
• Raw Iron (medium)
• Iron Ore (medium)
• Raw Copper (medium)
• Poppy (very rare - gives netherite axe when broken!)
• Dandelion (very rare - gives netherite pickaxe when broken!)

Stone Drops

Breaking any stone type drops:

• Iron Ore

Affected stones:

• Stone, Cobblestone, Andesite, Diorite, Granite, Tuff, Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate, and all variants

Sand Drops

• Coal

Dirt Drops

• Iron Ore

Flower Drops (Ultra Rare)

• Dandelion → Netherite Pickaxe with max enchantments

⚖️ Balance Philosophy

This data pack is designed to make survival easier without being overpowered:

• Most grass blocks still drop basic materials (dirt/cobblestone)
• Flowers are extremely rare drops from grass, making endgame tools a lucky reward
• Stone drops iron ore, speeding up early game without eliminating challenge
• Raw materials still require smelting

📦 Installation

For Singleplayer

1. Download the data pack ZIP file
2. Navigate to your world folder (Edit World → Open World Folder)
3. Place the ZIP file or extracted folder in the datapacks folder
4. Load your world and type /reload
5. Done! Start breaking blocks!

For Realms

1. Download your Realm world
2. Add the data pack to the datapacks folder
3. Open the world in singleplayer
4. Open to LAN with cheats enabled
5. Type /reload in chat
6. Save and quit, then upload the world back to Realms

For Servers

1. Download the data pack
2. Place it in world/datapacks/ folder on your server
3. Restart the server or use /reload

• Compatible Versions: Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4+
• Pack Format: 48 (update pack.mcmeta for other versions)
• Server/Realms Compatible: Yes
• Client-side Installation: Not required (server-side only)

The following blocks have custom loot tables:

• Grass Block

• Stone (and all variants: andesite, diorite, granite, etc.)

💡 Tips

• Break lots of grass blocks to find rare flowers!
• Flowers you find naturally in the world still drop flowers - only grass block drops are randomized
• Once you break a poppy/dandelion from grass, it gives you the powerful tool
• Keep your fortune pickaxe safe - it's still rare to get!
