Without the pressure from the high altitudes of the Aether, Blue Aerclouds lose their form in the Overworld, becoming Cold Aerclouds. This is done to prevent Blue Aerclouds from being too dominant over other elevator options in the game (bubble columns, slime blocks, Create mod, etc.) while still keeping their mobility in the Aether. If a player places a Blue Aercloud directly at their feet, it will act as a single-use upward boost similar to that of a Wind Charge. This does not break a player's Elytra.

The quick change in velocity from bouncing off of Blue Aerclouds causes Elytra to break. Traveling the Aether using Elytra is very powerful; the option should be more balanced with Moa, Aerbunny, and Phyg travel.
Note: The Elytra are not destroyed, they break, meaning their durability is set to 0, but they can be repaired back with Phantom Membranes or Mending.

This datapack uses hidden advancements to perform checks instead of performing them every tick, making it more optimized for large player counts.
