Pacify Mobs

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Data pack only.

⬇ Download for 1.21.9–26.2⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.8
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Pacify Me Datapack

A lightweight Minecraft datapack that lets you harmlessly disable a mob’s AI using named name tags, similar in spirit to Silence Mobs.

Overview

How to use

  1. Craft or obtain a name tag.
  2. Rename it to Pacify Me in an anvil.
  3. Right-click a mob with the renamed tag to pacify it.
  4. To undo, rename a name tag to sock and apply it to that pacified mob.

Installation

  1. Drop the zipped datapack into the world’s datapacks folder.

    • For single-player: place it inside your save folder.
    • For servers: install it inside the world folder that the server uses.
  2. Load the world, then run /reload if needed.

  3. To remove, delete it from datapacks and /reload. Already pacified mobs will remain as they were at removal time.

Inspired by the interaction pattern popularised by Silence Mobs datapack on Vanilla Tweaks. Created as a clean, server-friendly implementation for builders, streamers and creative mapmakers.
