Guardsman Levels (Specialization experiment)
Includes all the key aspects of the guardsman role so you can have fun practising and grinding in a single player world.
⬇ Download on Modrinth

Implements the key points from the Guardsman class from Shotrush's Civilisation event and pvp aspects. The purpose of this datapack is to immitate fighting during the night to help people practise. sidenote: The crafting recipe for blessed food is obviously not balanced but that is not the point of this datapack. The main changes include:
- 12 xp per kill and levels 1-5. The levels are lost on death
- Permanent hunger 2 on the player
- Armor buffs that are present in the actual event with accurate stats. Use "/trigger armor" to apply the changes (You cannot currently enchant the armor with protection. I am not working on a fix because netherite armor grants more protection with this buff than diamond so just wear that to replicate protection)
- The ability to craft blessed cookies in a crafting table for realism. Tier 2 food: 1 paper, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4.
- Mobs have accurate increased resistance, damage and speed which align with the real event however they can't break blocks. (Just not possible with a datapack (Well I guess it technically is but I'm not going to))
A new difficulty setting.
- Hard: Mobs spawn twice as often, take 60% less damage rather than 40%, skeletons spawn with power 1 bows and normal mobs have strength 2 instead of 1.
- Impossible: Mobs spawn three times more often instead of 2 times and skeletons have power 2 bows
Key Commands to help with testing:
- /trigger + normal/hard/impossible changes the difficulty
- /trigger armor will switch out your armor with buffed armor based on the event
Notes:
- Make sure to play the newest version for all these features
- Play on normal difficulty for the best experience
- Keep commands on to help with testing yourself
- Not intended to be played in a regular survival world but it should work so give it a go
