Iron Gen Nerf
A nerf to iron for prolonging the early game, made with copper tools mods in mind. Iron is less common and generates lower in the world.
⬇ Download on ModrinthChanges to iron ore blobs that are part of the trapezoid distribution:
- Size decreased from 9 to 8, meaning max ore blocks in a blob goes from 13 to 10
- Generation attempts decreased from 10 to 8
- Trapezoid distribution moved from Y=56 & Y=-24 to Y=32 & Y=-32
Changes to iron ore blobs that are of uniform distribution:
- Generation attempts decreased from 10 to 6
- Uniform distribution highest Y-level moved from Y=72 to Y=16
Changes to iron ore blobs that spawn in mountains:
- Ore blob size same as those of trapezoid distribution
- Generation attempts decreased from 90 to 60
This makes peak iron around Y=0, about where deepslate begins, and the amount of iron in mountains should be around half as much as before. The numbers I chose were an attempt to make iron have a similar rarity to redstone when underground, but at the elevation of lapis. Mountain iron had to be nerfed to keep it in balance with the undergroun iron.
