M3H and EFM are compatible, but isn't it weird that the greatsword isn't a greatsword? The Lances don't poke? Blasphemy!
Fortunately, this can be changed with a datapack! Specifically, this pack changes the EFM animation classes to match the weapon types from MH. Feel free to edit this further, especially if you prefer WoM or any other EFM style mod.
