Realistic Days

by JmonJosh · on Modrinth

This datapack makes minecraft days/nights last 12 real-life hours. A dreadful addition to your next 100 days world...

This datapack does two things:

The Math That Makes This Work: 1 minecraft day = 20 IRL minutes

3 minecraft days = 1 IRL hour

... and therefore,

72 minecraft days = 24 IRL hours

Therefore, I made the daylight cycle advance by 1 tick every 72 ticks, giving the illusion of a longer day/night.

NOTE: Since the code in this datapack runs recursively, there can be some lag depending on what computer you're playing on. Also, make sure to set doDaylightCycle to false upon world creation.
