NoNetherite is a lightweight Minecraft plugin designed to completely block the use of Netherite upgrades while still allowing armour trims. By default, players will be unable to upgrade diamond armour, tools, or weapons into Netherite through the smithing table’s Netherite Upgrade template.
The plugin features a fully customizable config.yml where you can selectively allow certain Netherite upgrades:
allow-netherite-armor — Permit diamond armour to be upgraded to Netherite.
allow-tools — Individually allow specific diamond tools/weapons (sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe) to be upgraded to Netherite.
Features:
Blocks Netherite upgrades via PrepareSmithingEvent and SmithItemEvent for extra safety.
Still allows all armour trims, even if they use Netherite ingots as trim material.
Lightweight, no dependencies, easy to configure.
Compatible with Minecraft 1.21+ (works on Paper/Spigot).
Perfect for:
Survival servers that want to limit power creep from Netherite gear.
Custom game modes where Netherite progression is disabled or restricted.
Balanced PvP environments.
