Day/Night Freeze is a very simple plugin that changes the doDaylightCycle gamerule to true when players are online, and to false when nobody is playing. This plugin is recommended for SMP servers that always stay online, as it keeps the f3 day count accurate. When a server is left online without this plugin, the day/night cycle and therefore the day counter keep ticking even while nobody is playing, which can cause your server to have an inaccurate and incredibly high day count. If you install this plugin when your server starts for the first time, you can rest assured that your day counter will accurately represent the amount of time spent on the server.
This plugin can also prevent people from leaving the server for an long period of time while playing solo to cheese the day/night system and skip sleeping.
Since this plugin is so simple, it should work on almost any Minecraft version. It has been tested to work on 1.20.4, 1.19, and 1.21 but other versions are likely to work as well.
